Wall System

I just wanted to make a quick post about our newly installed wall system. The system came as a complete set but without any instructions. Some parts of it are a little off... so just be sure not to stare at it for too long!

Visitors!

I picked up my mother and sister from the airport this morning. They are visiting for the week and I will have alllllll of next week off. Hurrah. It's gonna be filled with tons of tourist-ey things, döners, currywursts and tons of shopping. ^_____^

In anticipation, Gabe and I spent the the last week in a whirlwind. The house went from 25% to almost 90% complete. It has been insane and stressful but it feels great not to live in such a construction zone anymore. I still have to take pictures for a complete house tour, but I did manage to take these pictures of my handiwork from a couple of days ago:

So I reupholstered my whole couch set. 10 cushions. TEN. WHOLE. CUSHIONS. It was a lot of effort and they are far from perfect but I do think they look a tiny bit better than before. Look forward to more wohnung pictures, I think the bedroom is my favourite so far. Now I have to rest up for our fun filled trip around the city.

Another year older...

Today is my birthday. Hurrah. I am at a stage where I think I will just stop counting all together. I mean after your mid-20s it's just old. Old is old is old. Naja, I just use it as an excuse to eat more sweets and cakes than usual.

So the kitchen is officially complete! Remember this? Well it now looks like this:

Additionally, it was Gabe's birthday last week and I got him a new toy.

We definitely need more practice in order to pull the perfect espresso shot.
